In the near future, Xserve intends to play a leading role in the WiFi arena with a wide range of offering. 'Hotspot Manager' are meant for Hotels, Airports, Libraries, Clubs and other public places. The building blocks for WiFi offering comes from Wistron NeWeb, a leader in embedded antennas, access points and different types of WiFi adapters.
Xserve has established a reputed name for its Set Top boxes including IP based set top boxes. Related solutions have been deployed globally in millions of units on the public networks, hotels and educational institutions on applications, like Internet surfing, Video on Demand or Educational content transmission. Last year, over 50,000 of CAS Set Top Boxes were supplied for the Indian market.
To compliment the home theatre solutions, Xserve's offering also includes Karaoke solutions for home & public entertainment for Pubs and Bars.
Xserve is currently a major player in Appliance hardware for Data Center, Secure Gateways and 7 X 24 application processing marketplace. Soon it would move into Industrial PC offering for Manufacturing, Control & Instrumentation requirements.
