IPSNS Elements:

Linux-based, IPStor Server

IPStor servers run on a Linux-based server. Storage services are attached via SCSI or Fibre Channel. The server receives I/O requests from the IPStor SAN Clients (application servers) over IP and carries out the operations on the targeted device. IPStor's future-proof architecture ensures ready compatibility with the emerging iSCSI an infiniband standards.

IPStor SAN Client

The IPStor SAN client is installed on each of the application servers that have access to the IPStor server. The client is implemented as a virtual SCSI adapter to give the operating system (Windows NT4, Windows 2000, Linux, Solaris, etc.) transparent access to the virtualized SAN storage resources.

IPStor Java-based manager

An easy-to-use Java-based management console is implemented to deliver advanced management features like device discovery, access control, messaging, self-monitoring, event notification, diagnostics and reporting.
